Sanctuary

Let me fly away, into my slumber
I wonder what you’re doing now?
I want to forget my past without you
I want to forget, but I can’t somehow

I see my spirit encased in amber
withheld from time, in your golden eyes
bury my bones, but keep my laughter
I think it’s time for me to fly
spinning disks and towering statues

in alabaster halls I find
a single place of sanctuary
a shallow pool of warmth and lime
